HMRC have 3 different bank accounts and payment centres, which can cause confusion for businesses and individuals. Our Clients want to know how and where they need to pay their tax. Here is our handy at-a-glance guide to paying HMRC.

Account Name: HMRC Cumbernauld

When making payment use your 10 digit Unique Tax Reference (UTR) number as the reference.
This can be found on your tax return reminder form or your HMRC payslip.
Remember to include the letter "K" at the end, for example: 1234567890K

Sort Code: 08 32 10
Your reference number can be found on your HMRC payslip and is made up of 17 characters,
for example: 1234005678A00101A

PAYE

Use your Accounts Office reference when making payment.
This is 13 characters long and looks like this: 123PA00012345

VAT
Account Name: HMRC VAT

Sort Code: 08 32 00
You should use your VAT Registration number (found on your VAT Returns) as the reference
when making payment.
